Beauty and the Beach is operated by Saint Tropez Vacation Rentals LLC. This notice explains how information is used when you browse this website, contact us or begin a reservation.

Information you provide

When you contact us, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your name, email address, phone number, event date and message. We use it to answer questions and assist with your plans.

When you begin a reservation, your selected event and stay dates, guest count, package and extras are sent to our server to check availability and calculate the reservation details. These details are passed to Stripe with the checkout session.

Please do not send card numbers, passwords or sensitive personal documents through email or an inquiry form.

Payments & service providers

Stripe hosts the payment page and processes payment information under its privacy policy. Card details are entered on Stripe, not into a payment form hosted by this website.

Amazon Web Services hosts the site and its supporting services. Hospitable supplies calendar availability. The public calendar shows date availability and visiting options, not guests' names or reservation details. Our email service handles messages sent to our team.

Browser storage & technical information

The calendar stores a copy of public availability in your browser's local storage for up to one hour so repeat visits can load faster. Expired availability is not treated as confirmed availability. You can remove this copy by clearing this site's browser storage.

When both analytics and advertising are allowed, this browser also keeps the first and latest permitted ad click ID and campaign labels, plus a random journey reference, in local storage. We accept only selected campaign fields. Turning either choice off removes this stored attribution and the persistent journey reference. A temporary session reference may still connect an inquiry to a checkout during that browser session, without ad click IDs or campaign labels.

Hosting and application services process technical information, such as IP addresses, request times and error information, to deliver the site, investigate problems and protect against misuse. We do not need payment card details in website diagnostic logs.

Recognizing repeat inquiries

For new wedding inquiries, we keep a protected code derived from your email address for about three years. This helps avoid counting repeated inquiries as new leads. Questions about an existing reservation and other inquiries are excluded.

Your email address and this protected code are not included in measurement events. When a first new wedding inquiry is accepted, a separate random reference can be sent to Google Analytics and, with advertising consent, Google Ads to count it once. A visit to the contact or confirmation page alone does not count as an inquiry.

Accepted wedding inquiries receive a separate opportunity reference. Our private AWS records keep its source and status for about three years while short-lived inquiry delivery records expire sooner. If you start Stripe Checkout, the random reference and permitted source labels may be placed in Checkout Session and PaymentIntent metadata. Signed payment notices let us record a successful paid deposit in a private AWS ledger, including when the browser does not return to this site. A later refund does not erase that successful payment outcome.

Analytics and advertising choices

Google Analytics measures page visits and a few planning steps, including choosing a date or package, viewing a price and starting checkout. Google Ads can use cookies and ad click information to measure whether an advertisement led to a new wedding inquiry. We do not send your name, email address, phone number, message, event date, payment amount or Stripe Checkout Session ID in these measurement events. Page addresses sent to Analytics omit fragments and URL parameters except a valid Google ad click ID (gclid, gbraid or wbraid) when you allow both analytics and advertising. With both choices allowed, selected campaign labels from a public landing page can also be sent as separate Analytics campaign fields: source, medium, campaign name, campaign ID and ad content label. These labels do not contain inquiry or payment details. For visits from another site, Analytics receives only that site's domain, not its full referring address. Checkout return addresses never include URL parameters in Analytics. Google Ads enhanced conversions are disabled.

With analytics consent, a verified live paid deposit can send a value-free event and an opaque transaction reference to Google Analytics. With advertising consent, it can also send a separate conversion to Google Ads. Each destination has its own protection against repeated counting in the same browser. We do not send the payment amount, Stripe Checkout Session ID, PaymentIntent ID, name, email address, phone number or inquiry text with that event. A later refund does not reverse this paid conversion.

For visitors we can identify as being in a US state other than California, optional analytics and advertising settings begin on. California visitors, visitors elsewhere, and visitors whose location cannot be verified begin with both off until they choose otherwise. Advertising use of information you provide directly to us is off for everyone. Our control lets you change analytics and advertising choices separately at any time. Turning either choice off stops that measurement and removes first-party Google measurement cookies where the browser allows.

We store your choices in this browser so they persist on later visits. Essential storage for security, requested features, and your preferences remains available. You can clear this browser storage in your browser settings. Google describes its data practices in its privacy policy.

Optional Meta measurement

A separate Meta choice is available in Cookie settings and begins off for everyone. Only after you explicitly allow Meta and our server accepts a first new wedding inquiry can this site load the Meta pixel and offer a Lead event.

A first new wedding inquiry uses an opaque reference after our server accepts it. Repeated inquiries, existing-reservation questions, payments and page visits are excluded. The Lead event has no name, email, phone, message, event date or payment value.

The pixel can process your IP address, technical browser information, browser cookie identifiers, and the clean confirmation-page address and known clean referring page. Automatic matching of inquiry details and automatic event collection are disabled. Turning the Meta choice off prevents further site measurement calls and removes Meta cookies this site can control. Your Google choices are separate.

The site links to services including Google Maps, Stripe, weather forecasts and local vendor resources. Opening those links takes you to another service, whose own privacy practices apply.
